How To Buy Your Ohio Fishing License

You can purchase a fishing license in Ohio via authorized license sales agents throughout the state or online at the Division of Wildlife’s website, wildohio.gov. After completing the transaction, they will email you your license if you bought it online. If asked to show your license, you don’t need to print it out; you can just show it on your smartphone.

Eventually, If you have an Ohio driver’s license or other state identification linked to the account, you can buy lifetime and multi-year licenses online. Purchasers of lifetime licenses may also submit a paper application by mail or in person at the Division of Wildlife office. While making a purchase, identification showing residency and age is necessary. At an agent location, you can also buy a multi-year license (restrictions apply).
